You have no proof whatsoever of the charges you leveled at Ape. Tell us all what did you base you accusations on and we will see who the liar is and always has been here on this forum Mr. Higdon. You way overstepped the bounds of free speech. I do not care how much you hide behind the First Amendment, it does not give you the right to lay those kinds of accusations on someone and have them go unchallenged. Hardcore Harry | ||

Harry I appreciate the sentiment but it isn''t needed. You are a good friend and always have guarded my six and I yours. This is a good case of kirt getting the better of me. I have been the one feeling wounded because he has consistantly pegged our servicemen as rapists and murderers. I''ve always felt it a fair label just like the war protestors of the Viet Nam era who called the vets baby killers. It hits me personaly because a guy just like kirt called him baby killer and such in church. After the war my cousin lost everything. He lost his fiance to some college guy. His mother passed away and he spent his time over there alone and somewhat abandoned. He lost his hand from a booby trap and all he wanted to do was to do what he felt was the right thing. That was not to run off to Canada when called. He ended up commiting suicide at twenty two. All I remember of him is wrestling in the yard with him. It was all of the young cousins against the giant. I recall slinging a couple of four letter words his way. It pissed me off with his lies. Trouble is that kirt isn''t about seeking debate or truth. He is about spite. He is enjoying this and well.....let a callous old man enjoy his fun. It isn''t often that he gets under people''s skin. Most of the time he comes off like the lunatic he is and is more a force against his cause than a proponent. In the fray I''ve changed my stance several times about the war but never once by him. He never noticed because he was too deep in his bile to care. His actions have always loudly demonstrated who and what he is and he isn''t nice. He isn''t saintly and he certainly hasn''t acted Christian. Bottom line is that I''m responsible for my own mess. I don''t have to tangle with kirt. I don''t have to listen. I don''t have to reply. The positive energies on this forum have been to meet good people like you Harry, and CS, and LG, and BlindBob and Elwood and Curm and Mark and Major and all the others. This has been worthwhile time. But if you stack it up against time spent with kirt all I get from that is frustration, anger, and bitterness. ""By your fruits will ye be judged"". Well, my fruits have been bitter of late because I have ""cast my pearls to the swine"". I don''t need kirt''s poisoned apple. He has demonstrated it time and again. My friends on this forum are good people and worthwhile. I butt heads with Texwrites from time to time but he seems to be a good fellow. He doesn''t have a mean spirit and he has a marvelous sense of humor and there are other like him who are worth while. Perhaps I''m choking on my own anger so I look to the source. Let him call me a baby killer. I don''t care. It isn''t true so it doesn''t resonate. Even if it were true, there would be no salvation or forgiveness found in kirt anyway. So what is the point? It is time to quit the Wild Ape and just be Ape. I''m a savage. I''m imperfect and occassionally wrong and stupid. But I am many other things too. My friends find worth in me. Kirt does not. Why ""cast pearls to the swine"". My time is valuable. Oh yeah, and I like to write. Sanctus Vilitas is latin with a double meaning. It can mean ""Quiet Sanctuary"" or ""Worthless Peace"" or ""Vile Peace"" depending. Stay tuned. | ||

...between individuals the type manifest in the THREADSTER exchanges of this week is proof that ""WOLRD PEACE"" is a hopless ideal. There has been no ""evolution"" of humanity that causes us to transcend our condition...only the arrogant would say that they can achieve a state of PEACE or that HUMANITY is truel enlightened. Enlightened...I would say we are...but but many shadows still lurking. Give PEACE a CHANCE? Only when we all do...until then I will remind all those that fruitlessly hope for man-made peace that it is the NATURE of HUMANITY to live in CONFLICT. GIVE WAR a CHANCE or be kill by those that do. Those that turn the other cheek at the wrong time have bread made from their crushed bones. I know this might seem un-Christian to some...but, only GOD can bring aeternal peace. No peacemake born or posting on the internet today is GOD. | ||
